And why does this bully think he’s one of the chosen few, when he perpetuates the very actions he criticizes in others?

Additionally, I want to mention that it’s the tone and implication of the OP that I object to, not a discussion about the Israeli – Palestinian dispute about a piece of land, in general.

I want to make it very clear that I am not taking sides on this very complex problem. I think there is some validity to some of the claims of both of them. But, to step outside of that debate specifically, is very dangerous ground.

If I came across a post that I felt was racist by a Jew directed at Palestinians, I would say something very similar to what I’m saying here.

I am against racism of all kinds and the genocide of any people.

I empathize with the plight of your people, G. That said, I also empathize with the Jews in their plight, as well.

As I have said elsewhere, this shit is a fucking mess. That’s my stance. That’s my calling. That’s my role to play in the world concerning this and most things like it.

And truly—it is also my opinion that if it ever comes down to the eradication of the human species, it will conceivably come as a result of this debate, before anything associated with global warming or AI.

Jewish people have been oppressed for centuries. The genocide was real. That wasn't the only crime against them. Judaism as a faith, and Jewish culture and heritage as a whole, are much larger than one country. Jewish heritage and culture are intertwined with many other cultures and faiths, too.
Do the crimes against the Jewish people justify the crimes against the Palestinians? No. Israel is to blame for Palestine, not the entire Jewish faith and culture.
... But it was the Allied Forces, mainly England and the USA, who had the idea to take land away from Palestine and give it to the displaced Jews. They didn't do it to be kind. They did it for political power....and they created a monster.
I've always thought they should have taken away a chunk of Germany and given it to the surviving Jews. Germany deserved it. ...But the allied forces needed a strong collaborator in the Middle East, and the Jews wanted their holy land.

I don't usually talk about this topic. I have close Jewish and Arab family members who all get along. We are family. I have Israeli and Palestinian friends. I know all their stories. I have Arab friends and Jewish faith and/or heritage friends.

How do I feel? Fuck Israel, but not the Jewish people or faith. They are two separate things. It IS possible to be against such violence and not hate an entire people. Being against the Palestinian genocide does not mean hating Jews.

It's wrong to blame an entire race, faith, or heritage of people because of the decisions of one country where that faith dominates, even if it is the holy land of that faith. I would also never blame Islam or Christianity (or other faiths) for atrocities committed by countries where their faiths dominate.

He isn’t making an indirect reference to the Jewish people in the original post, Erik. He is making reference to the genocidal subset. This much is clear to me when I read it.

There is, therefore, validity in posing the question as to whether the behavior of this subset of people began long ago and became the catalyst to a growing spirit of disdain which led to ALL Jews being painted with the same brush stroke - allowing a mindset whereby it was easier for the masses to dehumanize the entire Jewish race, the same type of genocide of an entire race that is now occurring in Palestine.

When the propaganda of a subset of people, irrespective of race or faith, is allowed to infect the world to the point where the “enemy” is seen as sub human.. then we have a problem.

It would be pretty weird, by the way, for OP to be a true racist against all Jewish people considering he’s with me and my entire family on my father’s side are percent Jewsish. My grandmother Russian Jew, and my grandfather Polish Jew.

And naturally, my own father. Jewish blood runs through my veins.
